So, there isn't much to say today. I was bad...not bad as in ate a bunch of stuff I shouldn't eat...bad in, I didn't eat hardly at all today. I didn't eat breakfast this morning, then for lunch we had a married student's fellowship at the school. I ate a sub sandwich, a bag of harvest cheddar sunchips, 2 glasses of sweet tea, a chocolate chip cookie, and 2 white chocolate macadamia (sp?) nut cookies. Then I got home and made Bailey a corn dog...she didn't eat it and I didn't want it going to waste, so I ate it...that was at about 5:00. Mandy made meatloaf for dinner and it wasn't ready before I left to get my mom from the airport, so it turned out to be a good thing that I ate the corn dog. When I got home from picking my mom up, she had all kinds of goodies, I ate a few gummy bears, a piece of salt water taffy and then I had a piece of meatloaf and a small bag of chips. Lots of water and a little bit of coffee (on the way to get my mom). All in all, not too bad of a day, just need to make sure I eat more meals tomorrow...My little girl is sick, however, so no church for me tomorrow. Both my girls have fever and Bailey is puking. Ugh! Hope all is well. :)

So, on this, the day after my darling's birthday, I'm back at it. I started this morning with my detox, my devotions and Bible reading. Then, I had a ham sandwich, and a 30 minute walk with plenty of water to drink. Haven't done much else today except 1 load of dishes...there are more waiting for me when I'm ready to get up and do them. I think the family is going to go for a swim here in a bit...more exercise? I sure hope so. :)
1 cup hot water with lime juice = 0 calories
1 GS apple = 80 calories
snack: 6 cheeseballs = 24 calories
3 pretzels and 1/2 slice of cheese = 50 calories
1 ham sandwich = 180 calories
so, at 1:40 today, I have had a total of 344 calories...I think I'll treat myself with a 180 calorie snack...yummmm brownie! :)
okay, so I went for a healthier choice...instead of the brownie, I had a piece of wheat bread with a tablespoon of peanut butter for a total of 165 calories. Then we went down to the pool and spent about an hour and a half there. I came home and had my brownie then. Why do I do this to myself? Oh well, I'll just make sure I don't go over my calories for the day regardless of the brownie I ate. :) Here's to being good the rest of the day!
okay, so for the rest of the day...we went swimming and when I came home, I was starving, so I ate a serving of cheeseballs for 130 calories, I had another brownie for 180 calories. Then a wonderful friend made us the most wonderful meal, chicken, seasoned with mrs. dash, brown rice, yummy broccoli and cauliflower...one of my favorites, and some soup. It was delish...thanks Adrienne, you are the best!!! Not sure how many calories that was, but it was healthy, which makes it better than counting calories in my book. then, to top it off, I had 1/2 cup of chocolate brownie ice cream. I feel good...got a lot of exercise in today and tried to watch what I ate. Tomorrow is a different story. Have a married student's fellowship for lunch, then my mom comes in at 7:30 tomorrow evening. Can't wait to see my mommy!!! Hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. :)
Not sure what my ending calories were, but I'm sure I finished within my allotted 1500 calories.

It's almost midnight which means my baby girl's birthday will officially be over and I'll be back to my diet. I definitely did exactly what I didn't want to do. My hubby left this morning to go get a car part for my sister-in-law's car and came back with a present for Bailey, hamburger meat, chips (my favorite kind in the world), cheddar bacon cheese slices...ugh, it was a fat girl's paradise. I made Bailey her very first princess barbie cake...she loved it, and it just happened to be my favorite, strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting (her pick too :). Then to top it off, I had another brownie that I made yesterday with chocolate brownie frosting. How's that for a fat girl. LOL Oh well, no more, I'm going to go back on my diet and stick to it as best as I can. (It will be tough right now, especially since we've spent everything we have and some of our bills aren't even paid yet...so no money to buy food). I guess this is where Faith in God comes into play...big time. God, please provide as only you can.
I try not to worry (because that leads to emotional eating), but I just have to say, my mom comes into town on Saturday and I have no clue where the gas money is going to come from in order to drive all the way to LA to pick her up and get her back here. Chris doesn't get paid til next Thursday, and unfortunately, it's already spent (we have to catch up on the bills and then pay our rent). I know that the Lord will provide, I just don't care for the waiting part. :)
Well, here's to one of the last days of eating like a fat girl. :) I'm looking UP and looking through skinny glasses. Back to healthy eating tomorrow. Night all!

On this, the eve of my little girl's 2nd birthday, I'm trying not to emotionally eat. I can't believe she's gonna be 2. She's brought so much joy into my life and I can't believe how fast she's growing into a big girl. I mean, she was speaking full sentences before most, she was potty training at 16 months and completely done at 19 months...she says most of her abc. She says about 10-15 words in sign language, counts to 10. Somedays I feel like she's already ready for Kindergarten. So, to start my day, I did my normal detox (my day didn't start until nearly 9:00...the girls let me sleep in...a lot), so I fed Alivia, fed Bailey, did my devotions and Bible reading, then finally at 10:00 I had my detox (my hubby had already been to work and was home on his break by the time I started this morning. LOL)
1 cup hot water with lime juice = 0 calories
1 medium GS apple = 80 calories
Lunch at noonish: 2 egg, ham and cheese omelet
2 eggs = 140 calories
1 oz ham = 40 calories
.5 oz cheese = 55 calories
2 tbsp salsa = 10 calories
1 glass of water to drink = 0 calories
I'm so stuffed at this point and it's around 1:30, I feel like I'm gonna be sick. So far, I've eaten a total of 325 calories...no clue what's for dinner at this time.
Had 1 fruit roll-up...couldn't help myself...they were sitting there taunting me...so I ate it. But Hey, they're made with REAL fruit and it was only 50 calories. hahaha (don't you like how I justify it? LOL)
Made some homemade brownies from a recipe on Hershey's.com. about to go give it a shot. It's 136 calories for 1 brownie...but everyone in my house is screaming for brownies or cake and since Bailey's birthday is tomorrow....I gave in. Gonna go take a taste. :) Still don't know what's for dinner. Suppose I should figure out soon since we have church tonight.
Okay, so after doing fairly well all evening, I was starving when we got home from church, so I have officially declared today and tomorrow as cheat days. I'm hoping not to go completely hog wild, but in honor of my baby's 2nd birthday, we bought a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting (My favorite...but it was actually her pick), we also bought ice cream. So, I'm going to do my best to stay on track, but I'm not going to beat myself up for "failed" days. :) Good night and I'll see you on Friday!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY CHEYENNE!!! Mommy can't believe how big you are!

Okay, so I've been journaling my food for a few weeks now, but I just decided today that since I'm on the computer a good portion of the day anyway, I may as well do my food journal here. It is within these pages that I will post everything that goes into my mouth including drinks, snacks, etc. I am bound and determined to be accountable for my intake and if posting it over the world wide web helps...then so be it. I will post new recipes I try with the nutritional value as well. This is a journey I have chosen to take for several reasons. My girls need me to be around for them...not eat myself into my grave. My husband needs my love and support, and my friends need me (probably not...but I like to tell myself this one. LOL) All of these reasons are genuine, but they wouldn't even exist if not for my Gracious Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit lives within me...I'm so sorry, it's not a very pretty place to live at the moment, but He's working in me, and I'm working on me, so this Temple of God should be beautiful in no time. :) So, here goes the first day.
I automatically start my day off with 80 calories doing a detox I learned about from a friend. I drink a cup of hot water with a few squeezes from a lime and then eat a medium Granny Smith Apple, so here goes.
Breakfast: 1 cup Hot water with a few drops of lime and a medium GS Apple = 80 calories
Snack: 20 cheeseballs (not the healthiest, but I had a small portion) = 80 calories
Lunch: Jack in the Box Taco (my hubby bought it for me...I had to eat it) = 193 calories (hey, they have 2 grams of Fiber so if I was doing weight watchers, it wouldn't be too bad. LOL)
also had a salad with 1 oz of ham, and 10 sprays of balsamic vinaigrette and water to drink = 65 calories
Total so far: 418 calories at 12:00
Okay, I did so well until about 5:00. I got a phone call at 1:15, Mandy's (my sister-in-law's) car had broke down. My husband had to leave work to come get me to take him back to work so I could go get Mandy. We went back to get the car with a friend (Alex). Alex and I spent about an hour trying to get the stupid battery out of the car to go and have it tested because we couldn't anyone to give us a jump...it was 109 outside, so needless to say, we were both dying of heat exhaustion and sweating to death. Once we got the battery out and into AutoZone, we went to McDonald's. Me being the frugal person I am, didn't want to spend a lot of money, but I needed something to drink...sooooo at McDonald's I got a sweet tea. Here's the rest of my calories.
1 MD's sweet Tea
1 chicken nugget (from one of the kid's happy meal)
8 french fries (I was starving...we usually eat dinner at 5:00 and it was already 5:30)
1 Diet Dr. Pepper (I didn't want to overdo it with another sweet tea)
for dinner, I made a delicious chicken enchilada skillet...it was only 393 calories for a serving (1/4 of the entire pan) YUMMY (I'll post the recipe at the end).
I had to do laundry (because Bailey's has been peeing in her panties a lot lately and was out of panties and her bedding needing washing). Went to Alex's and did laundry, while there, I had a glass of water and a granola bar for 100 calories.
So, I don't really know where I ended today, but I'm okay with everything I ate today. :)
Chicken Enchilada Skillet: cook chicken in skillet til it's cooked, shred the chicken then add some taco seasoning, add a can of kidney beans, a can of rotel (or jar of salsa), and 1 cup of water, Bring this to a boil. Once mixture is boiled, add 4 corn tortillas (while the mixture is coming to a boil, cut the tortillas in 1/2 in to 1 in slices). Stir the tortillas in and then let simmer for 5 minutes. Add as much cheese as you want and let it melt. Serve. (makes 4 servings) Yummy!
